About the Book
The story of a little girl’s discovery of love, family and what it means to be brave.
It’s 1969. Pocky, is seven. Her family isn’t like the other families in her street. They live on the roof. But their life seems ordinary, until their new neighbour moves in.
The woman is glamourous and mysterious. Pocky thinks she is a witch. She has a coffin and drives a hearse, speaks French and wears red. She only comes out at night.
Soon there is talk of evil. One of Pocky’s neighbours means her harm, but is it the witch, or is it someone else?
