Peter Polites, Alison Whittaker, Wil Roach & Kaya Wilson comprise an exciting line-up of queer and trans authors who will read from their own work and from the work of the writers who inspire them.
Come join us for this FREE event as we salute the joyful act of reading! You'll meet some fantastic writers, and hear how they connect reading with their writing.
About the Authors
Alison Whittaker is a Gomeroi poet, lawyer and law academic.
Kaya Wilson is a writer and scientist. His writing has been published widely including by Brow Books, PanMcMillan, The Guardian and Cosmos Magazine. He is currently completing his PhD on tsunamis and writing a book - which, according to him, must have felt like a good idea at some point!
Peter Polites earns minimum wage and writes novels, his second novel The Pillars is a satire of gay aspirations. (It was also our August Book of the Month!)
Wil Roach loves Words, Writing and the deliciousness of Speech in all its forms. He loves Music and often knows the lyrics of songs he`s never heard before! He practices his craft through memoir, blogging, poetry and public performances..
