About the book
Setting the story in the NSW south coast town of Tathra in the late 1970s, Peter Fenton has written his own song of innocence and experience, with a young protagonist who is bold, brave, joyful and frightened, and who embodies the boyish qualities of gentleness and a sense of justice. In the midst of a timely conversation about toxic masculinity and its genesis, celebrating these human traits is to be applauded.
This captivating novel, that will remind many readers of Colin Thiele, features new artwork by renowned artist David Bromley on the cover with additional illustrations peppered throughout.
