Heroes and Villains Workshop: Ages 11+

Join our kids specialist Olivia for a dynamic 3-hour workshop these school holidays! We've designed a programme for kids aged 11+ inspired by our current Better Read Kids Creative Writing Competition theme Heroes & Villains — whose side are you on?!

We'll start the workshop with some fun warm-up games, before Olivia and the group read extracts from some of our favourite Heroes & Villains books and chat about heroes, villains, motives and turning points. From there, we’ll delve into some writing, drawing and acting exercises, encouraging your kids to create their own superhero and supervillain characters in full detail, including their personalities and pasts. The group will then work on a short story about their creations, before embodying their characters in a short improvised scene.
