About The Event
About The Event:
Betty Concina is an Australian-Greek author and the writer of From a Woman's Perspective: Stories of Strength That Refused to Stay Silent, a deeply personal collection of true stories exploring the strength, resilience and lived experiences of women.
At the heart of the book is a story especially close to Betty - that of her mother, Eva. It was the first story she began to write and one of the most difficult. In telling her mother's story, Betty also found herself confronting parts of her own past and the emotional weight that can come with giving voice to experiences that have remained unspoken.
That journey became the foundation for a book that brings together the stories of women who have faced hardship, trauma, loss and adversity, while highlighting the courage it can take to survive, rebuild and speak.
For Betty, From a Woman's Perspective is about more…
