About The Event
Annie McCann is an Indonesian-Australian emcee and author from Western Sydney. She is the founder of multiple literary networks and a published author of multiple short stories. Annie's debut novel My Harimau King, published by Melby Rose Publishing, will be released in June 2025. Annie is passionate about diversity and representation in books, media and pop culture and works tirelessly to 'bridge the gap' in the creative space. On her limited days off, Annie is either slaying her reading pile while jamming to Michael Jackson's greatest hits or cheering on her NRL football team, the Parramatta Eels.
Yxavel Magno Diño was born in the Philippines before moving to Australia at a young age, where she soon discovered that almost nobody there knew how to say her name. To make up for it, she spent her time daydreaming about fantasy worlds filled with characters who had more unusual names than she did.…
