Lauren Keegan and Camille Booker are both Australian authors known for writing atmospheric, character-driven historical fiction that often explores themes of myth, survival, and the complexities of womanhood.
Both authors specialise in historical fiction with a strong focus on atmospheric settings. Their work often incorporates elements of folklore and mythology—such as selkie myths in Keegan's The Woman in the Seal Skin and gothic mystery elements in Booker's The Woman in the Waves.
