About The Event
When Chloe Dalton was eight years old, she would practise her goal kicks in the half-time break of her brothers’ football matches, all the while telling impressed onlookers: ‘Girls don’t play rugby.’ At the age of twenty-three, she won an Olympic gold medal playing Rugby sevens for Australia.
Chloe went on to play basketball in the WNBL, and now plays for the Greater Western Sydney Giants in the AFLW, making her one of Australia’s few triple sport athletes.
Girls Don’t Play Sport is a manifesto for supporting women’s sport at all levels – advocating for equal opportunity, equal pay, equal representation and equal respect, both on the field and off.
Spotlighting the voices of incredible female athletes and compelling statistics and studies, as well as her own personal stories of a life spent striving for sporting greatness, Chloe shows us how we got to this point, and where we need to go next to embrace the full potential of women's sport around the world.
